Ombudsman for Estate Agents

This scheme provides an independent and impartial facility for the resolution of complaints between those members of the public who buy, sell or let property and the agents they deal with. As a member of this scheme we must comply with a Code of Practice which lays down standards of business conduct. The public should ensure that they are dealing with a member of the scheme so that they can be confident about the firm's approach and where, if they feel disadvantaged, they have access to independent judgement of their complaint.

Gold Award for Stevens and Co

Stevens & Co was proudly awarded the Gold Award for Innovation at the 2006 Estate Agency Of The Year Awards, the most prestigious event in the estate agency calendar. Stevens & Co was singled out from 900 other agencies nationwide for the gold award in a formal presentation ceremony hosted by GMTV personality, Penny Smith, at The Brewery in London, on Friday 24th November. 

The awards were established to champion high standards, innovation and best practice among estate agents of all sizes.  The award for Best Innovation is open to all estate agencies, big and small, across the UK, and the winner had to demonstrate new ideas that have actually worked to deliver a better service.  Stevens & Co has shaken up the property market in Kent by giving customers the most open and honest service, and combining old-fashioned courtesy with innovative extras that make the moving process a whole lot easier. Its award winning innovations include dinner on moving day, the dust doctor house cleaning service and a free van to use on the moving day.

The judges’ panel, made up of leading UK property experts, was impressed by the quality of Stevens & Co submission. The Judges Report stated that: “It is clear that the Stevens & Co service starts at grass roots level and provides its customers with a great service including additional extras they won’t get anywhere else.”
