Orchard Heights Ashford

Guide to Orchard Heights

If your dream location is a small, pretty and secluded suburban environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre – yet close enough to be able to enjoy the amenities – a property in Orchard Heights, Ashford, could be right up your street.

Situated on a hilltop location and surrounded by wooded areas that were once home to sprawling orchards (hence the name!) Orchard Heights is one of Ashfords most exclusive areas, and houses for sale and rent here don’t stick around on the market for very long.

A huge part of Orchard Heights’ appeal is the peace and quiet, the family-friendly community, and its incredibly convenient location, situated just off the A20 from Ashford to Maidstone and just minutes from the M20, making travel for work, study or leisure a breeze. Ashford town centre and all it has to offer in the way of restaurants and bars, shops, cinemas and other leisure facilities are just a stone’s throw (or a quick bus ride!) away, making Orchard Heights ideal for those who want the best of both worlds.

The Orchard Heights estate is a picturesque collection of executive and family homes built in the 1990s, and even though the town is conveniently close, it’s also very close to rural Ashford. Orchard Heights backs onto the Godinton Park estate, just a short walk from the popular village of Great Chart, and overlooking the North Downs and the foothills of Westwell. The surrounding countryside provides residents of Orchard Heights with the perfect escape from daily life, with copses and wooded areas offering the ideal place for evening strolls, dog-walking or a brisk jog.

Due to its elevated location – one of the highest points in Ashford – Orchard Heights enjoys some of the most attractive views of anywhere in the town, and the community here ensure that the area stays well-kept and appealing, including the play parks and small grassland areas that are popular with Orchard Heights’ youngest residents.

The estate itself doesn’t have its own school, but it does fall under the catchment area of Repton Park Primary School, a popular school offering children a large and vibrant learning environment focusing on a well-rounded education and building pupils’ self-esteem and self-concept, as well as a variety of other Ashford primary schools, including Godinton Park.

If you’re looking for a property to buy or rent where you can take advantage of all that Ashford town has to offer, while still being able to retreat back into peaceful living, Orchard Heights needs to be your first port of call.
